A warm welcome to new primary member Sarah Wise; and associate members Gina Schumann and Diane Ruban.
2. Congratulations: LDWA members in the Winter Poppyline
Congratulations to our member Wendy Younge who over the weekend completed her first 50, the Winter Poppyline, less than a year after doing her first walk with the LDWA. And well done also to the other eight members of London Group who entered the event. All nine Lond Group LDWA members finished - in times ranging from 11h 40m to 20h 07m.
3. Hunnypot 100: volunteers needed
Given this year's Hundred, the LDWA's flagship event, is being staged by a neighbouring group it would be good if London Group could send a reasonable number of volunteers to help at the event. At present we only have a handful, which is far fewer than the 20 primary members signed up to do the event. Our help will be required at the headquarters in Meopham, which is only about a mile from Meopham station which has direct trains to/from London. If you are able to help, please drop a line to london,chair@ldwa.org.uk so that we can provide the organisers of an idea of the scale of the support we can provide.
