NOTICES

1. New members

A warm welcome to new primary members Gavin Banks, Sthefanie Devia; Frank Fitzgerald and Michael Neville; and associate members Richard Langham, David Hill, Benjamin Swankie, Lee Cooper and Joy Mckenzie.

2. The 2026 100: volunteers needed

The Spring Bank Holiday in May sees this year's Hundred come to Kent and Sussex, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh, and it wouldn't be able to go ahead without the support of members marshalling at the event. Volunteers from London are needed to assist mostly at HQ & with the breakfast baggage and maybe as drivers/co-drivers. First shifts on registration & car parking at Meopham will start at 7am on Saturday May 23 (reachable by the 5:42 from Victoria and a 15-20 minute walk for those not driving). The breakfast stop is 1.75 miles from East Grinstead station or by minibus probably from HQ. If you are interested in marshalling at the event please let us know at london.chair@ldwa.org.uk - expressions of interest in roles, shift lengths and number, availability start & finish would be helpful so we can liaise with Kent group over what we can provide.

For those interested in the walk 8 linear walks from/to railway stations utilising parts of the Hunnypot route have been added to the Kent walks program - see https://ldwa.org.uk/Kent/E/0/future-walks.html
