A Western Adventure (Part 1 CC) Charing Cross to Hampton

Event Type: Group Walk. 

Region: Southern England / London
 
Distance: 16 miles
 
Start Time: 10:00
 
Route: Meet at the Cross at Charing Cross Station. There are many “engineering works” happening and possibly cancellations/disruptions. A mud-free urban walk in parks and gardens within the Freedom Pass area. Bring some basic supplies; we will stop for refreshments and toilets as available. Main Options to leave the route earlier with approximate timings: Barnes station (1.00) Teddington station (3.00) We will be crossing Richmond Park and possible to head directly to Richmond station. Finish at Hampton station for train at 3.51 to Clapham Junction and change for Victoria or get the District line at Wimbledon.
 
Notes: Moderate Pace. This is the first in a pilgrimage set of 8 walks with the aim of reaching the Great Stone Circle at Avebury. If intending to come please notify the walk leader by Text message/WhatsApp, in advance if possible but even on the morning of the walk it is fine.
