Forthcoming Social Walks
Sun 10th May 2026 c14ml. 09:00. (SU664830) Checkendon: Main Street / Parkside C.P 1300 feet of ascent. Visiting Ipsden, Grim's Ditch, English Farm and Stoke Row.
Sun 17th May 2026 c21ml. 09:00. (SU827951) West Wycombe: NT car park at the top of the hill by St Lawrence’s church C2600ft ascent.
Sat 30th May 2026 15.5 or 13ml. NOTE 21:00 start time. (SU567812) Streatley: c.p near Post Box Cottage, Rectory Road The total ascent is about 1200ft.

Other News
MARLOW DONKEY REGISTRATION OPEN!
Registration opens on June 1st for LDWA MEMBERS ONLY for this years Marlow Donkey Challenge Walk
The event will be on Sunday October 4th, starting in Marlow.
The aim is to complete, on foot, a route option of circa. 25, 40 or 50km (50km to celebrate the groups 50th anniversary) within maximum time periods of 8 hours (25km) or 11 hours (longer routes).
All to finish by 7pm. There will be another new set of routes this year through the Chilterns, with a figure of eight centred on the pretty village of Hambleden and the long route extending to Bix. With the new 50km route available, we expect the event to fill up this year (the limit is 150) so get your entry in early or monitor the current entry numbers on SI Entries.
If you want to bring a non-member friend, we suggest they join!.
We also will be looking for marshals in the coming months and there will be a marshals walk on 20 September

Challenge Walk Reports
Honey Pot Hundred Marshals
Well done to Thames Valley member Huw Davies for completing the 100 miles at the Honey Pot Hundred Marshals event.
Thames Valley also provided help and equipment at Checkpoint 3 and Checkpoint 11.
Good luck to all the Thames Valley members participating in the main event on the 23rd/24th May.

Sun 31st May 2026 10th Pick and Mix - Combination of loops from a choice of 10, 8x2, 6 and 5mile routes and also a 2mile wheelchair friendly interest walk.
Sun 21st June 2026 Herts Hobble - 26 or 18ml.
