COMMITTEE NEWS

We are making more progress than in previous years (!) in getting committee positions filled for next year, which is a difficult year as both Secretary and Treasurer come to the end of their five year terms. We now have a nominee for Treasurer and for one of the split Secretary roles suggested in Octobers newsletter. We still need a second Secretary, whose responsibilities would cover membership and external communications plus the maintenance of the groups Dropbox, including deleting files to meet our data protection responsibilities. Practically everything is set up for this, e.g. the membership bulk email lists and the Dropbox structure, so this is largely an independent ‘at home’ computer role with an estimate of 20 hours work a year. So probably less time than leading a walk or two and we’ll let you off doing that! Ideally, this person would also be the face to the outside world so would appear in Strider etc as the contact for the group.

If you can help, please email thamesvalley@ldwa.org.uk or speak to a committee member.
