Meeting with the Gruffolo Sun 26th Oct 2025
On a sunny autumn day Shahina and Alison led a walk comprising 2 loops of the 2025 BBN Pick and Mix challenge event.
A total of 16 started off on the 10 mile red route which took in farmland and woods, with a view of Chequers and a stop in the churchyard at Ellesborough for elevenses. Once back in Wendover 10 of the group then carried on for the 8 mile blue route which involved a 2 mile stretch along the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal, a lunch stop at Halton churchyard and then a climb into Wendover Woods where we all met The Gruffalo.
The timing was perfect as it started to rain once we reached the car park at the finish!
