Our Marlow Donkey challenge walk on Sunday 12 October is now open for entries only at SiEntries - The Marlow Donkey. As before, we are only taking 150 entries and LDWA members have preferential entry until 1 September, when any remaining places will be released to all. The route this year is again a new one, a figure of eight starting in Marlow and centred on Lane End, With 16 and 25 mile options available. The cost remains a bargain £10. We are also looking for volunteers to help marshal the event. If you can help, please reply to this email or speak to Duncan on a walk, with your choice of marshalling at Lane End or Marlow and between registration and catering. Route sweepers will ideally be those who know the route or have emergency response experience (you know who you are!). Thanks to those who have already volunteered. We also have some offers of home made cake this year ( a pleasant change from Costco?) so more such contributions will be welcome and you will be refunded for costs incurred.
'Benefits' for marshalling include going on the marshals walk on 28 September Thames Valley LDWA - Marlow Donkey 25 Marshals Walks, a free pub meal afterwards and a free invitation to our 50th anniversary celebrations next year.
