Meet Grateley rlwy stn 09:06. Take the 07:50 from Waterloo, 07:57 Clapham Junction. Buy a return to Salisbury.
From the North West corner of Hampshire, we cross the Downs, pass settlements with exotic names, & cross into Wiltshire following a Roman road & the Monarch's Way. Explore the ancient settlement of Old Sarum & conclude with a tour of Salisbury, aiming to return with the 17:47 train. (Although 5 minutes from the rlwy stn is a building that might tempt some participants to dally a little longer in the town).
General Notes
Average pace of 2.7 mph. Picnic stops & woodland facilities during the day.
