North Greenwich Station

Along the Thames Path until we hit the 50 mile mark, which should be in the vicinity of Datchet if the official guide is correct (nb it wasn't and 49.6 miles took us to Staines statin)

Adapting our former Midsummer Challenge for the Big 50 Weekend, we commence at North Greenwich station at sunrise in an attempt to get in 50 miles by sunset (21.23). To do this pace will have to average 3mph including breaks over the whole day so effectively somewhere between 18 and 19 minutes for each mile walked. The route will largely follow the Thames Path, therefore there will be plenty of entry or exit points en route for those who wish to only join us for part of the walk.. There should be opportunities to buy food or drink on the way but coming prepared with sustenance would be recommended
