Hi!  Just a reminder that our summer social takes place this Wednesday evening, 11th August.  The central event is a bring-your-own picnic in Regents Park.  We aim to get there at 19.30 and to meet by the Tritons and Dryads Fountain in the north of Queen Mary’s Gardens.

Near this venue is a public toilet (beside Chester Road which runs through the park from the Inner Circle to the Outer Circle) .  The toilet will be open until 20.00 and you need a 20p piece to use it.

At 20.30 we have a booking at the Engineer pub at 65 Gloucester Ave, Chalk Farm, London NW1 8JD.  They have a large beer garden.  If you want to come with us there please let me know as I need to give the pub rough numbers.  london@ldwa.org.uk  will reach me.

There are two walks setting off earlier in the evening for Regents Park.  One will be led by Gavin Fuller and starts at 17.30 from Victoria Station. (Meet in the station, outside WH Smith - platform 8 side).  The other is led by our chair, Ali Pretty, and starts at 17.15 from outside London Fields overground station.  You do not have to contact the walk leader.  Just turn up at the start point 10 minutes or so before it is due to begin.  Both of these are 6 miles long and will finish at the picnic venue.  Join us!

Minna Graeber on behalf of your committee. (If there are any problems on the day, you can contact me on 07565829528)
