Welcome to this weeks edition. I am Barry Arnold co Secretary of the London Group and am standing it for Julie who is having a well deserved break. I will leave it to her to do the special "It's coming home" edition but in my role as Jack Grealish super sub, I will do my best. As yet we have not had an update from the NEC relating to the relaxation of COVID 19 restrictions on the 19th July and its impact on social walks, as soon as we do will let you know.
The Capital Challenge Anytime Event has been extended to 31 August.
This is an LDWA Anytime Challenge event and is only available to LDWA members. Entrants can do the walk on a date and time of their choosing between 1 June 2021 and 31 August 2021 inclusive, subject to the Government’s COVID-19 restrictions and guidance at the time. The event is entirely unsupported. Once entered you will within one week be emailed a link to download a route description and GPX file.
The 3rd August is the day members of Team London and Team Essex & Herts are planning to do it.
The walks for next week are below and more walks are highlighted on the LDWA London Website Here
Meanwhile, this week Gavin Fuller and I did a circular walk from Dorking through the Surrey Hills and North Downs Way . Although we walked part of the Founders Challenge walk we were however not able to find the Founders Oak.

Meanwhile Jean spotted this rather intriguing statue whilst walking part of the Thames Path
At time of writing the Euro Final is 5 hours away, hopefully the result is all we can wish for. As for my first newsletter to paraphrase Kenneth Wolstenholme "I think it's all over".
