Beach of Dreams - more walk leaders and First Aiders still needed

Organisers are looking for extra walk leaders and First Aiders for Beach of Dreams, which starts on 10 July at Walton on the Naze and finishes in Tilbury on 1 August.

The event is unaffected by the continuing restrictions. The 500 silk banners are completed and 351 people have signed up for an individual mile. A form will be issued to each such volunteer which will list names of those participating on that mile, headed by the volunteer’s name. The total participants on each mile is capped at 30.  Undertakings as to ensuring road safety, covid compliance etc. also have to be signed.  The form is known as a Green Pass and has been devised by another walking organisation.

A booking form will also be sent out to potential participants. The Beach of Dreams website states where the event will be taking place each day and encourages people to sign up.  A ‘donate button’ can also be found on the website.
