Hooray, some interesting news to brighten these moribund days of Lockdown 3. A 1-kilometre section of disused railway between Camden and King's Cross is to be transformed into the Camden Highline, a 'garden in the sky'. It's designed by the US studio James Corner Field Operations  who were responsible for the New York High Line, in collaboration with a local studio vPPR Architects. Located eight metres about ground and with access by a series of staircases, the park will be built on a section of railway viaduct that was abandoned around 30 years ago when a length of four-track line was reduced to double-track. What fun!

The illustration below reminds me only too well of several rather soggy experiences I've had on walks. It's taken from a Ladybird book. Nursery Rhymes, and is by Frank Hampson, best known as the creator of the Eagle's Dan Dare.
