London LDWA

An interestingly mixed selection this week, with  a short jaunt from HIghgate to Clerkenwell (and Wetherspoon's) on Tuesday evening, the customary Saturday hike (this time it's the Chilterns), and - sandwiched between the two, on Wednesday through to Friday - St.Paul's to St. Albans, or entre deux saints, maybe. Happy walking!

General Notes
St Albans Cathedral is launching a new walking pilgrimage and route from St Paul’s Cathedral to St Albans in June 2019 to coincide with the opening of its new welcome centre and pilgrim exhibition. The 37 miles (five half-day stages) takes in some of London’s most stunning parks, waterways and views and allow for reflections along the way, inspired by the life of Alban, Britain’s first saint and martyr. Each stage is easily accessible by public transport, making it a green pilgrimage and route . Pilgrims and walkers will be able to do as much or as little of the walk as they wish. To be part of the first group to complete this walk, save the dates and get in touch to register your interest: pilgrimage@stalbanscathedral.org
