If you're taking part in Ron's pop-up walk 'Golders Green to Stratford' on Tuesday 19th March or indeed the Capital Challenge on 6th April, here's a heads-up from the Marshals Walk. The route is famously mud-free, but a small section just after Checkpoint 3 and alongside the New River was very slippery indeed when we walked it on Saturday, and likely to stay that way unless London is visited by a freak heat wave in the next week or two.

Moving on to the weekend programme, there are two walks in prospect, so why not do both? On Saturday, Jerome leads a circular from HIgh Wycombe and on Sunday the action switches to Kent and Part Four of the Timeball &Telegraph Trail. Scroll down for full details.
