Calling all walk leaders - and would-be walk leaders, too. Does anyone have a midweek walk they would like to share? So far, we have none lined up for November, so if you can offer a pop-up please do get in touch with Marie, our walks secretary.
This week's long walk is on Saturday and is a linear expedition featuring the Hertfordshire Way and a circumnavigation of Welwyn Garden City. Full details are below, and please make a note of the change to travel and start time caused by engineering works on the line.

Entries are open for the 3rd Capital Challenge!!!
Saturday 6th April 2019
Launched in 2017, the Capital Challenge is a 28-mile urban challenge walk organised by the London Group to celebrate the capital. It passes through some of London's best open spaces including Royal Parks, Hampstead & Highgate, the Woodberry Wetlands, the River Lea, and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and it includes some surprises along the way. The route is almost completely mud-free and passes a wide variety of shops and cafés along much of its length. There are 4 checkpoints, 2 with simple refreshments; the start & finish are at cafés close to public transport. 28 miles; 200 walkers only.
