Here's hoping those days of blistering heat are now behind us so we can enjoy what's lined up for us this week without having to stop every hour to gulp down litres of water. First up, on Wednesday evening, is a linear tour across Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common, and on Saturday we have a tempting-looking trek from Tottenham Hale to Broxbourne - as you can see from the photo below. Meet Tottenham Hale station (Victoria Line tube, 8.30 from Stratford or 0842 from Liverpool Street), finish Broxbourne station. Following the River Lea and the Pymmes Brook Trail to pick up the New River through Enfield and into Hertfordshire
