Well, the weather's turned out nice again so what better on Wednesday than Pete's South London odyssey from one hill (Forest) to another (Denmark) as the sun goes down? Then on Saturday there are all the delights of the Surrey Hills area to look forward to, featuring the River Wey navigation and the North Downs way, on Ian's circuit of Guildford. Meanwhile, here are a couple of photos to inspire you.

Meet Forest Hill Railway Station, platform 1 exit (regular services from London Bridge). Finish Denmark Hill Railway Station (regular services to Victoria, Blackfriars, Kings Cross St Pancras; bus to Waterloo) A linear walk from one Hill (Forest) to another (Denmark)
General Notes
Meet 17.45 The Capitol pub (nr station) for pre-walk drink
Start and finish at Guildford Railway Station (main Station Entrance) A walk taking in the delights of the Surrey Hills area. * UPDATE: River Wey navigation to Send, then cross country to West Horsley for lunch (over half way, about 4 hrs). Afternoon is south to North Downs Way and back to Guildford via St Martha's.

Bring a packed lunch. Pub lunch option subject to confirmation * Update: Pub stop at King William iV, West Horsley. Menu available here http://www.kingwilliam4th.com/menu.htm. Small green nearby for picnic. (note - when recced in Feb some muddy and wet sections)
