Now that all the certificates have been handed out and all the cake crumbs have been swept off the tables at the View Tube café, it's time to reveal that a great day out was had by all on the 2018 Capital Challenge. It was good to see so many smiling faces and hear the positive feedback as finishers arrived, even if some had to steel themselves for that stiff-legged walk back to Stratford after the necessary R & R.

But now it's time to put aside past glories and look forward to this week's programme. On Wednesday Colin will be taking us around Richmond Park, with the possibility of sightings of deer on the way round  and the probability of a Wetherspoon's at the end.

On Sunday your leader will be - ahem - me. Beginning with a ceremonial walk along Wembley Way, this lovely green route is the work of the aforesaid Colin, and takes us via the B (the Beehive, that is, home of Barnet Football Club) to Vicarage Road, Watford (the stadium of Watford FC) and finishing, of course, with the final W, another Wetherspoon's.
