Hello everyone and welcome to another windy week!
But even if the weather is proving a bit less than ideal at the moment, at least we've got the Orionids to lift our spirits. Oh yes - and the LDWA London walks programme, too...
And speaking of which, this week we've got a proper day beside the seaside lined up for your enjoyment. Read on!...
If it's good enough for Sir John... Then it must be OK for LDWA London (even if it isn't owned by Wetherspoons)
Yes - on Saturday, Ron (of pop up fame) is going to be taking us on a 20-miler near Southend, making the best of the relatively light evenings before the clocks go back in the early hours of Sunday morning. His walk promises to be "surprisingly varied", offering urban paths, country parks, and much, much more. So if you'd like to go, make your way to Leigh on Sea station for 09.20 on Saturday morning, and be prepared to savour the potential of fish and chips, and a possible stroll down the longest pier in the world, at the end. NB buy a return ticket to Southend.
By the way - before I sign off - a quick technical query..
Geek alert!
We've had a report that on some Android mobile devices, the pictures in this weekly update email don't display properly.
If you have had a problem like this, please could you reply to this email to let me know, and if possible send me a screenshot of what this email looks like on your device? I can't promise a quick solution, but its something we can look at.
Thanks

Well - that's all for now. Have a great week, as the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness slowly descends up on us. Before you know it, we will be roasting chestnuts roasting on an open fire...
