Hello everyone
Monday comes around so fast, doesn't it? Well, hopefully we've got a settled, storm-free, week to look forward to with lots of great walking thrown in too.
We're back in our normal walks programme sequence now, as the last of the "Silk River" walks finished on Sunday. By all accounts, Silk River was a resounding success, with lots of LDWA London members getting involved. So thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it such an interesting and enjoyable event. In case you weren't able to participate, there's a photo below which will give you a flavour of the proceedings. There are lots more photos and updates on our Facebook page too, so do take a look.

Now let's get down to more immediate business - this week's walks.
Once again, we've got two great walks on offer, one midweek and one at the weekend.
We start on Thursday when Neil will be leading us on a return to Wetherspoons (did we ever actually leave??). His 7-mile evening walk kicks off from Bromley South station at 18.30, though optional pre-walk refreshments are available at the Richmal Crompton pub, opposite the station, if you fancy brushing up on William's memorabilia beforehand. It finishes up in Greenwich where a second dose of Wetherspoons is available - with the added bonus of curry club if that's what floats your boat.
Our weekend adventure this week comes on Saturday when Jerome will be diving off into Kent to explore some of the county's finest hills, gardens, parks and views. This splendid outing meets at 09.13 (note new start time) on Saturday morning, at Sevenoaks station. This event is sure to be particularly unmissable for the many of us who are aficionados of large bodies of water, as Jerome enticingly points out that the walk will offer fine reservior views along the way.
So, on that bombshell, as they say, I'll sign off
Have a great week!
Adam
