Ancient way to Cambridge from Great Chesterford

Event Type: Group Walk.

Region: Southern England / London

Distance: 20 miles

Start Time: 9:35

Route: Meet at Great Chesterford Station (From Liverpool Street 8.28 Tottenham Hale 8.40). Icknield Way, Roman Road, Gog Magog, mainly flat with easy gradients. Finish at Cambridge station, for many regular return trains to Kings Cross & Liverpool Street. Option to “hang out” in Cambridge exploring some interesting buildings.

General notes: Picnic stops only. Woodland facilities. Moderate pace. If intending to come please notify the walk leader by Text message/WhatsApp, in advance if possible but even on the morning of the walk it is fine.

"Northern Adventure Part 1” St. Pauls to Gordon Hill

Event Type: Group Walk.

Region: Southern England / London

Distance: 18 miles

Start Time: 10:00

Route: Meet beside the statue of Queen Anne at the west end of St. Pauls Cathedral at the top of Ludgate hill. The route will head north via Finsbury Park, Alexandra Palace and finish at Gordon Hill station (train to Finsbury Park). General notes: Picnic stops only. Moderate Pace. Option to bail out almost anywhere on the route. This is the first in a pilgrimage set of walks with the aim of reaching Peterborough Cathedral. “From Paul to Peter”

1. Tuesday 14th October: Keith Lane led 12 on an 10 miler from Feltham to Kingston on a walk named "Stag Stag Stag". And it did indeed live up to its billing.

2. Thursday 16th October: Pete Colley led 10 walkers on an 18 miler from Pimlico to Embankment visiting several cabbies' kiosks along the way on a route created by Ron Williamson.
