NOTICES

1: New members

A warm welcome to new primary member Francis Bradley; and new associate members Christina Cox, Elizabeth Blake and Alan Jones.

2: Advance notice - London group 30th anniversary celebrations.

September 10th 2025 is the 30th anniversary of the formal constitution of the London LDWA group.
Last year we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the first walk.
This year we are celebrating the formal establishment of the group.
So do put the following dates in your diary and join the celebrations.

Saturday 6 September
In line with the 25th celebration, there will be 3 walks of 3 different lengths (30 miles, 20 miles and 10 miles) starting from different places.
They will all converge on the Penderel's Oak pub in High Holborn for a social gathering in the evening from 6pm.
Full details of the walks are on the website.
You are most welcome to join at the pub without doing a walk - we hope to see many members, longstanding and new, on the day.

Saturday 13 September.
This will be a walk of some 20 miles, repeating with some variations the first walk after the group was formally constituted. The walk will start in Kelvedon and will finish at Chappel & Wakes Colne providing an optional opportunity to go to the Chappel Beer Festival.  Booking ahead is required if you want to go to the festival - please make your own booking. https://chappelbeerfestival.org.uk/summer/
There is a station right by the entrance to the festival.  Look out for full details of the walk on the website soon.

3: Planned walk for Tuesday 12th has been cancelled due to forecast very hot weather.
