Due to a cancellation there is place available on Ron's walk this Thursday (3rd April).

“Sakura Sakura” Linear from Alexandra Palace
Event Type: Group Walk.
Region: Southern England / London
Start Time: 10.40 at Alexandra Palace station (10.27 from Kings Cross).
Route: A flexible route south on tarmac and parkland hunting for cherry blossoms. Precise details will depend on the weather over the next week and what we find on the day, it is likely to include Kenwood House, Regents Park, Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill, Holland Park and Battersea Park.
General notes: Bring some food and drink, there will be coffee and loo stops on route. Moderate pace. Many opportunities to leave early if you get cherry blossomed out. Finish at Clapham Junction station.
Notes: If intending to come please notify the walk leader by Text message/WhatsApp, in advance if possible but even on the morning of the walk it is fine.

Route: Meet at Baker Street Station Madam Tussauds exit. Finish at Victoria Station.
Notes: An exploration of some of West London’s most elegant and fashionable post codes,. There are many stops and starts today so may not be suitable for all. Alfresco lunch and a visit to a well known location at the end Restricted to 12 walkers so please book a place in advance. THIS WALK MIGHT BE REPEATED ON WEDNESDAY 09/04/2025.

North Herts Circular
Event Type: Group Walk.
Region: Southern England / London
Start Time: 9:01
Route: Meet at Stevenage Railway Station. Suggested train is 08:31 from London St Pancras. Stevenage, Knebworth, Whitwell, Someries Castle, St. Paul’s Walden, Stevenage. Bail Point: Luton Airport Parkway.
Notes: Bring picnic and plenty of water though we will be passing some pubs. Long walk, easy and pleasant terrain, medium paced 3mph. Expect to finish about 18:00 Very helpful but not essential to let leader know if you’re coming. N.B. Planning to recce walk on 25th March at slightly later time. Let me know if you’d like to come because you can’t make 5th April or want more walking!

1. Saturday 29th March: Gavin led 3 members on a marshals' walk over the full 28 mile route of this year's capital challenge. And Marie led members on a shorter version of the route.
