A V to V Adventure Virginia Water to Ash Vale

Event Type: Group Walk. 

Region: Southern England / London
 
Distance: 18.5 miles
 
Start Time:  11:03
 
Route: Meet at Virginia Water Railway Station (10:20 from Waterloo). Exploring commons and green spaces around Chobham and Bisley finishing with a section of the Basingstoke canal.
 

Notes: Finish at Ash Vale Station aiming for the 18:09 to Waterloo. A return to Ash Vale is one option for a train ticket, there may be other options. Picnic stops only. Moderate pace. There are some indistinct paths, some muddy / boggy sections in fields and woodlands, appropriate footwear and/or gaiters strongly advised. If intending to come please notify the walk leader by Text message/WhatsApp, in advance if possible but even on the morning of the walk it is fine.

Baker Street to St Pancras

Event Type: Group Walk. 

Region: Southern England / London
 
Distance: 4 or 8 miles
 
Start Time:  12:00
 
Route: Meet Baker Street Underground Station (Madame Tussaud exit). Finish St Pancras Railway Station. Two options planned - one will be 8 miles long and the other 4 miles long.

 

Notes: The Short distance walkers section invite you to join us in celebrating the onset of Spring on this most social of social walks at a very slow pace to accommodate all. We are barely awake after a long hibernation so expect more time talking refreshments rather than actually walking. A coffee stop and a long Wetherspoons lunch will be taken. At the culmination of our stroll a visit to the Aga Khan centre has been arranged. A limited number of spaces are available for this free hour-long guided tour which will commence at 17:00. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis so please contact the leader by email A.S.A.P if you wish to join us. Early birds meet in The Metropolitan Bar (next to station entrance) any time after 11:00.

Capital Challenge Marshals' Walk

This walk is for members who will be helping to run the Capital Challenge walk on Saturday 5th April 2025. Those eligible will be sent joining details later this week.
