1: New members

A warm welcome to new primary members Stephen Edmundson, Kokka Antila, Seren Adlem, Amanda Rea, Zoe Carre, Alice Loxton, Jason Leith and Alaric Mose; and new associate members Caroline Williamson, Lucy Bronwin, Lynn Hemsworth and Matthew Northwood. 

2: Change of date

The walk scheduled for Saturday 30th November (Rainham (Essex) to Grange Hill) has been moved to Saturday 25th January 2025.
This frees up a Saturday for anybody (especially newbies) who might have a walk to put on.

A Pilgrim's Progress Part 5: Linear from Elstree to Finsbury Park

Event Type: Group Walk. 

Region: Southern England
 
Distance: 16.5 miles
 
Start Time: 10.27 at Elstree and Borehamwood station. From St. Pancras take the 10.03 Thameslink. The walk will finish at Finsbury Park station at 4.45 for Victoria Line or frequent main line trains.
 
Route:  Using sections of the London Loop, Dollis Valley Greenway and Capital Ring, mostly good firm tracks.

Notes: Picnic stops only. If intending to come please notify the walk leader by Text message/WhatsApp, in advance if possible but even on the morning of the walk it is fine. This is the fifth stage of “A Pilgrim's Progress” which will be a Long Distance Path walked in 6 stages from Bedford to London. We will follow the life of John Bunyan from his birth in Bedford to his grave in London and eventually finish at St. Pauls Cathedral as is appropriate for a pilgrimage.

Route: Meet at Mortimer rlwy stn. Take the 08:35 from Paddington changing at Reading 08:59 for the 09:10 to Mortimer arriving at 09:23

Latchmere Green, Pamber Forest, Silchester, Mortimer, Wokefield Common.
