Evening walk: Stratford to Mile End

Route: Meet Stratford Station by the old train engine in front of the main entrance

We've walked this route and through the Olympic Park  many times, but things are changing.  Spot the differences.
Back along the river  Lea and Victoria Park to finish at Mile End station.

Return of the Tarmac Walkers

Route: Meet at Oval Underground Station

Vauxhall, Pimlico, Belgravia, Mayfair, Marylebone & finishing at St John’s Wood Underground Station.  

Notes: Many stops on route at points of interest & for refreshment. A slow wander From The Oval to Lords as the cricket season reaches its climax. This walk is restricted to 12 participants so please reserve a place early at ronwilliamsonuk@gmail.com If there is sufficient demand this walk will be repeated at a latter date

Lunch at the Palace: Linear from Charlbury to Oxford

Event Type: Group Walk.

Distance: 20 miles
 
Start Time: 9:01
 
Route: Meet at Charlbury rlwy stn. Take the 07:52 from Paddington. Finish about 17:00 at Oxford rlwy stn for frequent return trains. One option is to buy a return to Charlbury, other options may be available. The Oxfordshire & Shakespeare Way to Blenheim Palace for an extended picnic lunch in the park with much of interest to be seen. Woodstock & Bladon churchyard for some interesting memorials & a stretch of the Oxford Canal to conclude.
 
Notes: Picnic stops only, opportunity to top up on supplies & ice cream in Woodstock. Very helpful but not essential to send your name & membership number in advance in case there are last minute changes to arrangements. Text or WhatsApp walk leader.
