Meet at Reading station north exit

The Elizabeth Line provides an opportunity to create a new outer outer London loop LDP. Hence the title Elizabeth Line Ends Loop (ELEL).The northern semicircle connecting Reading and Shenfield will be walked over 6 stages. This first stage will go through the Chilterns to Henley for lunch where there is a drop-out option and continue through woodlands to Maidenhead. Aim to finish at Maidenhead for the 17.29 Elizabeth line return train

General Notes
Average pace of 2.7 miles per hour. Bring a torch, food & drink, picnic stops only, woodland facilities. Very helpful but not essential to send your name & membership number in advance in case there are last minute changes to arrangements. Text or WhatsApp walk leader

Only eight people did the whole South London horseshoe the last two Saturday walks created, but Keith Lane

discovered just how popular he was as a leader on Saturday with our largest group on a Saturday walk since January 2020.
