2) Challenge Events
There is still time to enter the Founders Challenge; entries close on Friday. See more at https://ldwa.org.uk/London/W/9195/2023.html
Planning ahead for next year yet? Kent Group has written to inform us that entries are open for their annual Sevenoaks Circular Challenge on March 17 2024. This event promised brand new routes, and historically fills up fast, so if you are interested get your entry in sooner rather than later. More details can be found at https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=12181
3) London LDWA Newsletter
With Barry now on his post-retirement travels the London Group Committee will keep the newsletter going, but it would be desirable if there is a dedicated editor for this. If anybody would like to take the chance to be the main conduit of information to the group we'd be delighted to hear from you.
Forthcoming walk:

Sat 14th Oct 2023
Walk Details:
Distance
Start Time
09.35
Oxted station (trains from London Victoria 08.50, Clapham Junction 08.57, London Bridge 09.07)
Route
Up over the North Downs on which lies Bromley's borough top, as the highest of all the borough tops also the county top of Greater London. If the group can survive the excitement of being (and getting) there, its on through the foothills of the downs to Croydon's top, the second highest of them all, and the one responsible for this series of walks in the first place, to finish the round of the 32 tops. More undulations will take us back to East Croydon station
General Notes
Although a picnic lunch is as usual advised the projected lunch spot at Tatsfield did have some refreshment facilities last time the leader was there
