2) Founders 2023 – REQUEST FOR MARSHALL’S - SATURDAY 21 October 2023 The Founders Challenge Walk is taking place on Saturday 21 October this year, entries for the event have been open since 1st June. We need volunteers for the HQ and the 3 checkpoints. In addition to our loyal, repeat marshals we need more people to ensure the event goes well. The HQ is key as it is the start and finish point and we serve meals to the returning walks. Although the day is form 07.00 to 19.00 volunteers are welcome to do shifts. For further information please email: chris.founders.challenge@gmail.com. Information which is helpful to share to Chris is: mobile, available times, are you travelling by car, are you pacer trained, are you a first aider and what you would like to do on the day.

This walk was originally designed by Paul Lawrence back in 2017. It follows the Meridian Line (zero longitude) from North Greenwich Tube Station to Stratford Tube. It includes the cable car from the O2 north across the river (6 pounds with an Oyster Card or equivalent). One of the main features is a series of sculptures and art exhibits along the way. Details of these can be found at https://the-line.org/. The walk follows the River Lee north to the Queen Elizabeth park. Finish at Stratford Tube Station
