Purley station (trains depart Victoria 08.38 & Clapham Junction 08.45 or London Bridge 08.40)
A meandering route from Purley through several open spaces takes us the the thrills of summiting Sutton's borough top. More meanders through open spaces take us over Epsom Downs and Ashtead Common to get to Kingston's. Then back across the common to Ashtead station. Several possible break points for those not wanting to do the full route

Meet at Thorpe Bay Station
A visit to the creeks and mud flats of the Essex coast in early spring time. An attempt to complete last years walk which was shortened by adverse weather. Finish at Thorpe Bay Station

Three Mills Island

The world’s largest surviving tidal mill is at Three Mills Island. The 18th century House Mill is Grade I listed and open on Sundays. Suitably photobombed by a pigeon.
