4) Thames Valley Challenge Walks information. Our friends in the Thames Valley group would like to share information about their challenge walks, parking is restricted this year and they wanted to ensure we were able to register for a place:
- Oxon 20/40 , Stokenchurch, . The limit is 200 for this and 88 are registered at this time (opened 1 Feb) Thames Valley LDWA - About the Oxon 40/20 and for ENTRIES SiEntries Admin - The Oxon 40/20 - Event Summary. This event has always filled up even when the entry limit was 350
- NEW – Marlow Donkey, 1 October, Limit 100, will open on SI Entries for LDWA MEMBERS ONLY on 1 July and for others on 1 August Thames Valley LDWA - The Marlow Donkey
5) Elephant, Bear and Bull 100 Volunteers Required for this 100. A fun weekend with social walks, as well as supporting the LDWA flagship event. Further details are available HERE

Another Hatfield
Saturday 18th February 2023
Route
Meet at Harlow Town station (0858 from Liverpool Street, 0910 from Tottenham Hale, 0846 from Stratford (changing at Tottenham Hale), 0915 from Bishop's Stortford. There are six return trains an hour back from Bishop's Stortford to Harlow Town.)
A walk through the west Essex countryside, with highlights including the picture-postcard hamlet of Matching and Hatfield Forest, which has remained virtually unchanged since the 12th century. Ending at Bishops Stortford station. Harlow Town and Bishop's Stortford are on the same train line, so buy a return to Bishops Stortford (unless you're coming from the Cambridge direction, in which case buy a ticket to Harlow Town). If coming by car there are three options. Harlow Town station car £5) or Showground car park (TL447106, off the A1019 Fifth Avenue) for £1.25, walking the short distance to the station at 0915. From the north, Bishop's Stortford station car park and catch the 0915 train The lunch stop is in Hatfield Heath, which has pubs, cafes and shops. Assistance dogs only please
