Recent LDWA London Group Walks

Photos from 2 walks with the London Derby (leader:Catherine Suttle)  walk between 2 rather grand football stadiums in North London, although strangely there were no photos of those on the website.  Keeping up with tradition the walk was a "long" 5 miles (in the end 9.7 miles) which on a winters evening is quite an achievement. Lonica's walk was unusual insofar as it was not known if the start could be reached until the day.  A 17 miler from Hanwell.

Stadium of the Week

A special request by Don Newman who describes the photo below as the " magnificent Tottenham Hotspur stadium, built at a cost of £850m, and the start of Catherine's  very enjoyable London Derby walk" .   He quotes from Tina Turner (with apologies to any Gooners).  'It's simply the best!  Better than all the rest'.    It is indeed a magnificent stadium, a warning however to any members who wish to visit and want a drink, please bring your own containers as we all know Spurs have not got any cups.  :-) #KTBFFH.
