1) The Capital Challenge Entries are open!!   SiEntries - The 7th Capital Challenge  here  

2)  London Group AGM 22nd February 2023 at 18.30  The venue is the Meeting Room, Crown Court Church, Russell St, London WC2B 5EZ.  More information nearer the date but you will have received an email requesting nominations and to consider standing for vacant committee posts. 

3) Walk Leaders If you fancy leading a walk this year, we aim to provide two walks per week: a short midweek walk, 7-ish miles, usually on a Wednesday evening, and a longer weekend walk of 20+ miles. It would be great to add a few new leaders to our current list of hard-working leaders. If you are interested or want more information, please contact Jean on london.walks@ldwa.org.uk. Contacting Jean will not commit you to providing a walk.

4) New Members Welcome to the following new primary members: Jeremy Hill,  Toby Smeeton, Gillian Andrews, Tomas Andrews, Jim Robinson,  Pau Wong,  Jany Tsai,  Al Walmsley, Mira Goddin, Mira Goddin and Linda Wright.  Welcome to the following new associate members: Rajan Pooni, Emma Lightowler, Jodie Jackman, Paul Gatens, Louise Witt and Jill Goddard.  Associate members please do share any walks you do in your local area either on the London group Facebook page or direct to me for our Out and About section of the newsletter.

Harrow on the Hill Station. (08:57 train from Marylebone Station. Unless the RMT strike is called off it will not be possible to travel from Marylebone Station. Please travel on the Metropolitan Line. Approximate time from Baker Street is 25 minutes.)

Route includes: St Marys Church, Harrow on the Hill, the playing fields of Harrow School, Fryent Country Park, the Welsh Harp, Hendon Park, the River Brent, Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill, Regents Park, Green Park and St James Park, finishing at Victoria Station

General Notes
Please bring food for lunch at Hampstead (pub and cafe drinks options). Christmas drinks at Victoria

Route: Wimbledon Common, Richmond Park, Kingston, River Thames, Ham Common, Richmond Park to Richmond Hill, and Richmond

General Notes
Breakfast or coffee in The Wibbas Down Inn, Wetherspoons Wimbledon for earlybirds. Christmas lunch at The King Tun, Kingston, Wetherspoons. The focal point of the walk is sunset on the official shortest day of the year which we will experience at the iconic viewing point, Richmond Hill and in The Roebuck PH. for drinks. Walk ends at Richmond Station
