Hello everyone

Congratulations on having survived the first few days back at work after the break.
To give yourselves something a bit more cheerful to contemplate than the next 346 shopping days to Christmas, we've got quite a lot of events lined up for you to think about in the near future. 

First up is Susanne's walk this Sunday, 18 January.   This promises to be an interesting 15-miler from Trafalgar Square out to East Finchley- details are at the bottom of this note. 

Second, the good news is that there has been a strong response to Paul's proposed trip to Liverpool, so:
the Liverpool Weekend - "You'll never walk alone!" on 17-19  April 2015 is definitely going ahead.  
There are still some places left so it's not too late if you want to sign up - please let Paul know if you want to go.   Click here to get all the details.   There is a range of accommodation options from the YHA (inexpensive) to the Travelodge (more pricey). 

Third, and related to the last point, Paul's trip to the Lakes in mid-June has attracted a good level of interest - so it will also be going ahead.   If you haven't already, please let Paul know if you'd like to join him as he conquers his last Wainwright.   Again the details can be found by clicking here (scroll down the page)

Fourth, I wanted to let you know that the date of the LDWA London's annual "Founders" challenge event has been provisionally set for Saturday 3 October.   There will be plenty more information closer to the time, but you might want to get it in your diaries now. 

And finally, don't forget that the AGM of the London Group will be held on Tuesday 24 February - early details are in Douglas Robinson's email of 2 January, and more details will be forthcoming shortly.
