Welcome to this week's edition of the newsletter. An interesting week for the editor, as I quite unexpectedly tested positive for COVID. Without symptoms initially it was only picked up due to me be part of an ONS survey and being tested once a month. Approaching the end of my isolation and desperate for a decent walk. Stay safe and healthy, COVID has not gone away.
NOTICES
1) Welcome to the following new members: Primary member - Michael Stone and Associate Member Karen Hamilton, we look forward to welcoming you on a social walk in the new future.
2) A message from Gordon Parker, the 25th Anniversary walk features on page 5 of the latest edition of the Hurtwood News. Download the latest Newsletter here
3) Paul Lawrence completed his COVID delayed second round of Wainwright fells and Fell Ranger fells on Thursday 11th November with the ascent of Castle Crag. It is the smallest of the Wainwrights at 290 metres but the wonderful location and craggy geology made up for any lack of size. Tony Willey who, like Paul, is a past LDWA chairperson, was on hand to share the moment. Prosecco was opened in the customary noisy manner and was served with cake.
