Note from Julie:

Calling all London Group members who are going on this weekend’s The Completely Useless Tour of London! If you’d like a list of places we’ll be visiting as we go along (you can even look them up on Wikipedia if you’re keen) please contact me on juliewelch@btinternet.com and I’ll ping it over to you.

We would like to meet under the main notice board at London Liverpool Street Station at  8.45 am for a prompt 9am start please. If you arrive early there are toilets at the station and during our recce walks these have been free of charge. However toilet facilities around London are a bit scant and many do charge. So we recommend that you bring a small supply of 20p and 50p pieces to ensure you don’t get caught short. Please bring sufficient food and drinks along although there are cafeteria opportunities mid morning and at lunch time.

This walk gives equal weight to the walking and the history so we’ve decided to walk in two groups both to reduce congestion on London streets and to make it easier for you to hear what your leader tells you about the places of interest. We hope to walk  as briskly as we can between sites and we do ask that you try to keep up with your assigned group - but don't worry as we will operate with back markers as we don’t want to lose you!

If you haven’t walked with us before could you please email me your LDWA membership number for the walks register we’re required to keep? Also the mobile telephone number you will be using on the day please. There is a small waiting list for this walk so if you are no longer able to join us, could you please let me know? ‘
