From Bulmer the route heads north, by way of Pentlow, to stray briefly over the Suffolk border at Clare Castle Country Park. Heading south the three Belchamp villages of St Paul, Otten and Walter are visited on the way to Castle Hedingham, the most southerly point on this route. Paths through Wickham St Paul and Bulmer Tye lead back to Bulmer.
