The Way is a network of four circular routes (named the Beamers, Reelers, Tacklers and Warpers Trails, respectively 6, 8, 9 and 9 miles), linked together with further sections of trail to form a large loop to the west of Blackburn and Darwen. The route takes in Abbey Village, Darwen Moor and Jumbles Reservoir on the northern outskirts of Bolton. There is a link into Darwen itself.
