The 30-mile Stort Valley Way explores the quiet paths, ancient tracks and peaceful villages that surround the town of Harlow in west Essex. And there's a seven-mile stretch by the River Stort itself, with water meadows, a nature reserve and a sculpture trail to explore. With good public transport and easy parking, it's simple to walk the Stort Valley Way either in a single visit or in shorter day stages. It includes:
