Little Ouse Path

Norfolk, Suffolk

16 km / 10 miles
A gentle 10 miles/16.25 km walk through the Little Ouse valley linking Thetford and Brandon which often follows the old towpath. The Little Ouse runs through the heart of the Brecks, one of the most interesting and unusual great natural areas in Britain. ‘Brecks’ were temporary fields cultivated for a few years and then allowed to revert to heath once the soil became exhausted.
