Jurassic Way

Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Rutland

The Way follows the band of Jurassic Limestone that runs along the northern boundary of Northamptonshire going first along the Oxford Canal and then via Middleton Cheney and Woodford Halse to Braunston on the Grand Union Canal. Here it turns to pass between Market Harborough and Corby, following the Welland Valley to Rockingham with its castle.

Update 15th November 2022:
Construction of HS2 means that a short part of the Jurassic Trail east of Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire, is closed between SP 511491 and SP 505489. The closure is reported to last until 2025. A diversion may be available along an existing right of way between SP 511492 and SP 507487, or along minor roads.
