England Coast Path (ECP)Hunstanton to Hull (England & Wales Coast Path Sector 22)

E Yorkshire, Norfolk

259 km / 161 miles
Sector 22 of the England & Wales Coast Path or EWCP (for which the LDWA keeps a Register of completions), between Hunstanton in Norfolk and Kingston upon Hull in East Yorkshire.

Part of the new England Coast Path.

NB: (1) Due to major road developments, is temporarily curtailed at Immingham Docks, with a Variant from Immingham Docks to Hull. Natural England say: "To get around this 'gap' you will need to use Public Transport between Grimsby and Barrow Haven [near the Humber Bridge] ... An alternative is to use Public Transport from Healing."
See Connected Paths (below) for the Immingham Docks to Hull variant.
UPDATE November 2025: Also diverted along a minor road between TA 2618 1095 (near Pyewipe) and TA 2096 1521 (before Immingham Docks) due to major coastal improvement work.

NB: (2) A temporary break in the path near Gibraltar Point, south of Skegness, while an unsafe footbridge over the Steeping river at TF 553585 is being replaced. There are no alternative routes available.

NB (3) Diverted between TF 3375 4275 and TF 327428, on the south side of the River Witham in Boston, due to major riverbank improvement work.
