A route following the towpaths of the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals from Glasgow through Bonnybridge, Falkirk, Linlithgow, Broxburn and Ratho to Edinburgh.

The unique Falkirk Wheel boat lift bridges the 35 metre vertical gap between the two canals. The World Heritage Site of the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh is close to the end of the route.
