Dover to Cape Wrath

Highland, Kent, Numerous

Various
A less popular alternative for an 'end-to-end' than Land's End to John o'Groats, it goes instead from the south east of England (Dover) to the north west of Scotland (Cape Wrath).
There is no set route for this journey but any option is likely to exceed 1000 miles. Some suggestions for useful paths are shown in the list of connected paths.

Publications are listed for a selection of routes and the authors each have their own preference for the Dover terminus: South Foreland lighthouse, Dover Castle, White Cliffs National Trust car park.

From 1st July to 20th October some paths in Scotland may be affected by deer stalking. It is advisable to check for possible military activity around Cape Wrath.
