Avon Valley Path (Hampshire to Dorset)

Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire

The Path follows the lower reaches of one of England's best-known chalk rivers, through a valley much of which is designated as an SSSI and of great botanical interest, besides being known for its salmon. Though much of the Path does not follow the riverbank, it aims to keep as close to it as possible through Downton, Fordingbridge and Ringwood.
