A route through varied scenery including riverside, heathland, woodland and downland, taking in Corfe Castle, the Purbeck Hills and the dramatic Dorset coast.

April 2024: our GPX and other track files for the Purbeck Way have been amended to correspond with Dorset Council’s website and leaflet, the Joe Jackson 2022 guidebook, and Ordnance Survey maps. The route now includes a loop from Corfe Castle which takes in part of the Dorset Coast Path / SWCP between Swanage and Ballard Point, returning via Nine Barrow Down.
