Signpost Challenge Routes

The routes this year (2026) will be the same as in last year's event.

Once again there will be indoor checkpoints on both the short and long routes. These are for the benefit of participants in case of bad weather. Refreshments and toilets will be available in the two indoor CPs.

On the short route the indoor checkpoint will be at The Children's Inn near Rowarth and on the long route the indoor checkpoint will be the Scouts HQ at Hayfield.

The route after the last checkpoint at the Fox Inn takes you for the final few miles along the High Peak Canal which makes the climb to the finish considerably shorter and easier.
