Congratulations to everyone who completed the 2026 edition of the Signpost Challenge whether you completed the short (17 miles) or long (24 miles) course. We had a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed their time on our local hills and valleys.

Our sympathies go out to the one entrant who retired having fallen and broken her wrist.

As one competitor Pete Smith said on Facebook "Stunning scenery and excellently organised event, huge thanks!"

Thanks to all the volunteers who made the day possible not only from the South Manchester Group, but all those from other clubs and groups who gave their time to make the day a success.

We hope you will spread the word about the event, the organisation and the stunning scenery it traverses

Here are the Finish times for all participants in this year's Signpost Challenge
