Social Walks

We have three social walks arranged for December, so there is still plenty of scope for a pop up walk or two to  plug the gaps:  Essex & Herts LDWA - Available Walks Dates 2023 

Sunday 3^rd December: Secret Santa: a reminder to everyone coming tomorrow to bring your wrapped Secret Santa gift, a mug and your best singing voice. 

Tuesday 12 December: Essex & Herts LDWA - Xmas Lunch Walk   The meal  is now fully booked, but you are welcome to  join us for the morning walk – just let Peter know you will be coming.

Sunday 17^th December: Hawks and Wrens, c12 miles, meet 10.15 am, Tottenham Court Road Station. Leader Jackie Burnett. This will be a linear walk between Bloomsbury and Greenwich, linking the six Nicholas Hawksmoor Churches in London. As 2023 is the 300^th anniversary of Christopher Wren’s death, we will throw in a few of his notable buildings as well.  (Plus a few other surprises along the way).  There are good public transport links back to central London from Greenwich (DLR, National Rail or Thames Clipper).  Numbers will be limited, so please book your place with Jackie: jackiecburnett92@gmail.com or text/WhatsApp on 07845 969826 

Essex and Herts Committee

Just a reminder that we are looking for nominations for officers and other committee members before our AGM in February.  In particular we need a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer as these three roles are vital  for the future of our group. Congratulations to Lizzie, the worthy winner of the 2024 LDWA membership Card photograph competition with a stunning picture taken on our weekend  away earlier this year.
